Exam Room AssistantsThe role of our Exam Room Assistants is to act as a liaison between our clients and their pets and our medical team. They do this by starting your pet’s appointment, taking their pulse, respiratory rate and temperature and gathering information regarding your pet’s lifestyle, medical concerns and/or changes. This allows our doctors to create an individualized plan for your pet’s medical care. In most cases, you will find your ERA returning to complete your pet’s appointment, answer any questions you may have remaining about the doctor’s recommendations Our ERA’s receive ongoing training in various aspects of pet health including nutrition, behaviour, animal husbandry and vaccine protocols. Their extensive background in customer service, as veterinary medical receptionists, also provides them with the advantage of understanding our client’s needs and ensuring that they are met at each and every visit.
